How Old is The Earth

We interpret the evidence as creatures. God speaks as Creator. Scripture gives us a chronology measured in thousands of years, not billions. The six days of creation, the seventh-day rest, and the genealogies that follow present a coherent history on the order of roughly 6,000 years. Against that stand competing reconstructions of the past—models built by men from evidence observed in the present. They deserve examination, but they are not eyewitness accounts, and they are not revelation.
